In the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros rules a king named Robert Baratheon. Jon Arryn called “the Hand of the King” gets murdered and the King asks Ned stark of Winterfell to be the Hand replacing Jon. Ned fears his death and refuses to be away from his family. Meanwhile, Prince Viserys Targaryen makes a deal by selling his sister Daenerys with Khal Drogo, the Dothraki warlord to regain power after his exile. Later accepting King’s offer, Ned leaves Winterfell with his daughters Sansa and Arya.
Meanwhile, Daenerys seeks revenge against her brother while being pregnant. King Robert asks Ned to sends assassins to kill the unborn child of Daenerys, and Viserys but Ned refuses and resigns. Ned continues his investigation into Jon’s death and Robert’s illegitimate children and in the course fights with Jamie and gets injured. He is appointed back and on the other hand, Daenerys becomes popular among Dothraki people and furious Viserys gets back to Drogo but gets skilled. Ned reveals the truth of Jamie being the father to Cersei and seeks to confront the king too but stops when the king returns injured.
Meanwhile, the rumors are active that the White Walkers have gathered and are walking towards the Wall. A failed attempt to assassinate Daenerys child makes Drogo furious. King Roberts dies from the hunting injuries and Joffrey takes the throne. Ned is taken into custody by Cersei causing Robb to assemble its army to march to King’s Landing. Joffery appoints Jaime Lannister as Captian of Kingsguard and Tyrion also joins to fight the Stark army. Robb returns victorious with Jaime as a captive.
Back at the King’s landing Ned is beheaded for treason. This makes Robb and Catelyn furious and they vow to kill the Lannisters. At Black Castle, Jon hears of Ned’s death but resists acting while learning more of White Walkers. In Essos, Daenerys son is born dead. Drogo dies too after Daenerys relieves him of his pain by smothering him. Daenerys then walks into Drogo’s pyre but emerges unharmed with three baby dragons in her arms.
